Full on comedy in tone, but one with an underlying dramatic arc that comes to a head in the ending. I found it rather consistently amusing, which is more than I expected, and the characterization is quite good. The tone of the comedy is a bit too broad for it to really resonate with me though.

Has more substance than I expected. The story is flavourful and fun, but can get a little caricatural at times. A good watch overall, and I love that he chose to play his mom.

a delicate film. subtly funny and emotional. has a lot of charm, but also a surprising amount of substance.

Charmingly off-putting, that is to say, playful but far too personal for an outside viewer like myself to fully appreciate.

i didn't like the movie, nor found it funny. The topic, the story was boring for me. It's not the movie itself but my personal taste so the mark i give is not revalent. The acting is great, the tone in VO are flawless and play a key role in this narrative movie. I loved the transition between the theater and memories.

A few good situations and reflexions about sexual identity but it's overall too stereotyped. There is some clever mise-en-scène but it's still overall poorly shot.
