Les débuts d'un patineur

Early comedy short starring Max Linder, the man who Charlie Chaplin once referred to as his professor, so with that in mind, unsurprisingly this silent slapstick is still good for a few chuckles. To be fair watching someone struggle and fail to stand/skate on ice is inherently amusing, but Linder's physical comedy and the simple narrative bring the whole short together to make for some classic comedy.

Mildly amusing at best.
