Serves as the definitive answer to the question, "Would it be cool to hang out with Lemmy?" The kind of documentary that doesn't have any of the information found on Motörheads Wikipedia page and doesn't really suffer for it. Makes you like Motörhead more than it makes you want to listen to them.

Through the duration of the movie, I couldn't help but feel that no matter how long this documentary was, you'd never really get to know who Lemmy Kilmister was, his true self was just hidden somewhere beyond what everyone said about him, and he only let himself shine through every once in a while. I think that's a failure on the part of the film makers, they left in all the fandom. Even so, Lemmy was a great man, fronting a great band, and he deserved more than two hours of my time.

A must-see for all Lemmy fans, it balances between interviews, backstage footage, live clips, musical and personal discussions and pure fun to present the portrait of a very interesting man and legendary musician. It does leave things to be desired by anyone looking for a more complete, linear retelling of his career or for more talking heads (obvious omissions include the dudes from Saxon and the Metal Queen Doro Pesch), yet remains informative and enjoyable. Some of the clips are pure gold.

It's hard not to admire Lemmy's individualist ethos; it's an increasingly rare trait in today's music scene. He never compromised for anyone and did what he did best: playing loud ear piercing music until he dropped dead.
Unfortunately, he is a man of few words who doesn't speak too candidly on any subject other than music, which hardly makes him the ideal documentary subject; and it's not like Motorhead's music was particularly complex, so there isn't much to explore. Strictly for fans only

Movie made of and starring fanboys with a bit of clumsy editing. Still, Lemmy is such an interesting character that the movie is watchable.

51% of Lemmy being his hard-rocking self, 49% of annoying asslicking and industry back-slapping.

Don't expect to see a good 'documentary', but the story and personage of Lemmy is more than enough to carry the film.

It's not particuarly insightful, and listening to and hour and half of "Lemmy is fucking awesome" and "Lemmy is fucking amazing" on a loop is more than a touch repetative! Nor is it a stand-out piece of documentary film making. That said Lemmy rocks, and there is something about him that makes this film just so watchable and compelling at times. It really could have been a lot better by being more exploratory and deeper, but it's still a fine ride.

I would like to see a real documentyry instead of this two hour long commercial. 'Cause Lemmy is cool character I can give 50 points but there's no points for the movie.

Maybe only for fans and people who think they could be fans, but it's fun hanging out with Lemmy, his friends and his well-wishers for a couple hours.

How did I not know Lemmy was in Hawkwind? How embarrassing! Movie's pretty decent. S'basically 2 hours of people worshipping Lemmy, but hey, it's Lemmy; he's certainly an interesting character.

Quite a good movie considering it mainly consists of talking heads nerdgasming over Mister Kilmisters personality, which would still qualify for a high score - even if it only consisted of one shot focusing on his perineum (you know - the fleshy part between the testicles and the rectum... Yes, I googled it). THE ACE OF SPADES!!!

This one was really hard to rate since I love Motorhead and all the objections I might have had about the quality, rythm or well, let's face it, bias of this movie were simply blown away when they've started playing We are the road crew, and again when they played Overkill. Besides, Lemmy is one of, say, five most influential figures in Metal and deserves his own documentary.

A lonely dude walking around L.A., playing Xbox or showing of his WWII memorabilia. Great contrast with the other interviews where he is considered a god by other people.

He was influenced by some people and has influenced lots of others. That's about all I got from this.

Too lightweight, closer to The Osbournes than a 'real' documentary. From this he doesn't seem that interesting, I'm sure there were some great stories somewhere.

Lemmy is a legend. It is not a documentary for not fans, but you know, if you like good and old rock'n roll, definitely worth a look.

Not a particularly well-edited or insightful doc, but it's Lemmy, so it still rules.
