Le tournoi dans la cité

Originally 90 minutes, but the available print is only 35-min, so while one can follow the narrative, it's rushed, and it's not exactly your usual Jean Renoir movie either. Goes back in time to the age of thrones and political battles on horseback. While a decent film, it doesn't possess the visual identity one would associate with Renoir, nor the personal nature of it's characters. Therefore this film comes across more as an attempt at a history lesson then an engaging tale.
