A teacher reforms a class of bad students. You know the drill. What I liked about the approach here was that we got to take part in Noël-Noël thought-process as he disciplined these students through a narrative voice. He, himself, not always making the best of decisions, but you you get a fuller picture what he was thinking when making those decisions. I found charm in that. Getting those minor breakthroughs with his students is where the warmth comes from.
