It's absolutely amazing what is done here with zero dialogue and a minimalistic set -- every character feels real and distinctive, and you really grow to feel for them. Great costumes, great music, great dancing!

Just goes back and forth from the 20s through to the 70s, portraying a bunch of speechless little anecdotes happening in a Paris ballroom during the various dances. 20th century musical nostalgia piece with a lot of subtle human comedy unreliant on words.

A fun little trip through 20th century Europe through a series of wordless ballroom scenes. The characters are distinctive and fun to watch and the music provides a very nice flow to the film. Even with the simple premise and sets there's some very good use of the camera in framing the scenes.
