Rare to find a MGM movie from this period that's this poorly written. Barely managed to create any sympathy for Robert Young and the story just felt so incredibly random far away from anything one could relate to. Jean Parker was sweet and the two numskulls had a couple of moments, but this was not the reformed story they were hoping for.
