Not brilliant or anything, but an effective, absorbing, sometimes even disturbing and well-acted psychological drama that takes its time to depict multiple stages of an abusive relationship, with a subtle attention to detail -- lights shifting tones, colors and totally changing the way we see a room and characters in it, the typical apologizing man that keeps finding ways to blame the woman for everything that is wrong in their lives as a family, slowly unfolding his violent side day after day.
