There have been quite a few adaptations of Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan, with perhaps Ernst Lubitsch's silent version from ten years earlier being the most memorable one. But this German one from 1935 with Lil Dagover is fine. Might be the least interesting of the ones I've seen, but they're all fairly similar. The reveal was probable the thing that Heinz Hilpert didn't do strong enough compared to the other ones.
