Laddie (1940) is one of them old naive love stories that's so cute they kinda makes one sick. All the family involved delivering that sweet family feeling while their neighbor has some emotional issues isolating themselves. You can bet the kids will make an effort opening up their hearts. One of the first leading roles for Tim Holt, and he is gullible in his way, but it's 8 year old Joan Carroll as his little sister that becomes the center of attraction. Overall a nice unremarkable family movie.
