In "La Terrazza", Scola portrays subjects that appear to be close to him - the movie industry and politics - in a style that is Altmanesque. And I think it has the same strengths and weaknesses as Altman's "Nashville" - there are many clever and witty moments, but for all the stars in the ensemble cast, it's so decentralized and haphazard as to impair audience involvement.
