Keeping up appearances.... in such humble style! Raffaele Viviani didn't do many films, but his delivery here was outstanding for this type of subdued comic role! As a result, Alessandro Blasetti's La tavola dei poveri [The Table of the Poor] (1932) might turn out to be one of my favorite Italian comedies of the 1930s. Definitely needs an wider audience!
