Aaaahhh, Sacha Guitry teaming with Michel Simon simply to ridicule old battle axe women in the most Guitry way possible! Wonderful!

Not sure what's up with this movie but I was never engaged. The intro caught me off guard but not in a good way. Then I got into the underwhelming mediocre main meat of the story and I stuck with it because it also seemed about to get good. But I pretty much had checked out during the lengthy trial scenes.

Kind of funny but quite immoral. I felt uncomfortable by the way film insults women and praises crime...
