Alternative version of the English language Whispering City (1947), and the first all-French speaking feature film to be produced in Canada. Felt more natural and alive than Whispering City. Fyodor Otsep directed both at the same time, but I'm unsure which of these were the original ambition, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was this one and the English speaking one a after-thought to expand their market. It was definitely more fluid in its execution.
