3.2/13 hours done. So far its storytelling defeats the purpose of the long running time. Tell one really long story and leave it at that, shooting yourself in the foot because you had a story cut off in the middle to move on to something is taking the piss

Similar to As Mil e Uma Noites in terms of ambition and playful experimentation. But unlike that film this one lacks a point and a vision to hold the whole thing together. Still a great ride.

A magnificent romp through the limitless wonders of cinematic narrative & genre conventions, while yielding to the equally limitless wonders of performance through the mélange of lead roles brought to vibrant life by the chameleonic Piel de Lava acting troupe. Best of all is its running time allows for both segmented viewings and 'binge' watching, with equal payoff in either format.
