La faute à Voltaire

Full of an assortment of quite fascinating characters, all of whom seem very real (you might expect to find a group of such people if you went to the right part of a city). It's not a particularly engaging movie, however, especially as, about half way through, it changes tack and seems to turn into something else. After that I really didn't care anymore. A piss-weak conclusion only exacerbates this disengagement.
