China makes a fully animated fantasy epic with real people that throws you into a world you neither know nor understand. But that doesn't matter, there are lots of pretty Chinese bishis that have heavy homoerotic interactions for all of you fangirls out there. The movie withholds important story beats only to dump them all in the final 20 minutes to set you up for the sequel. The animation ranges from quite good to god awful. But all of this makes for a good schlocky time, which is all I wanted.
