LBJ

Pleasingly old-fashioned political drama is possibly a too straightforward and ultimately inessential record of these events, but Reiner's smooth and engaging directorial hand makes for an engrossing experience, fired by Harrelson's transformative work as Johnson, and Stahl-David and Donovan as very persuasive evocations of the Kennedy boys; Leigh also has some wonderful scenes as Lady Bird, but the truncated running time feels like some of the best material was left on the cutting room floor.

Another stellar performance by Harrelson and a solid drama.

Points for the look and feel of the film as well as Harrelsons performance. However, the film is a fairy tale.
