L'Ange Noir

This is a confusing film. Superbly crafted, and stylish as hell, this is some really classy pulp fiction. Brisseau's tendency to indulge his fancy for writhing naked female bodies is finding it's way in at this point: some scenes seem utterly pointless, and were so distracting in their ludicrous eccentricity that I zoned out of important exposition in the dialogue. It remains a fascinating film, but too baffling at times to be great.

Espécie de meio termo entre Vertigo e Instinto Selvagem, mas com lemon twist classista anárquico, a narrativa pode se encaminhar por caminhos bem óbvios, mas a maestria e poética dos planos fazem essa obra valer a pena.
