Anime film apparently part of a larger anime/manga series; as a newbie, this didn't really work as a film, spending most of the time with a single minded purpose of dealing solely with the basketball game leaving little room to develop characterisations of the individual players or establish their personal rivalries. You may need to already be a fan of the material to properly appreciate it. As it is, the animation is colorful, and it represents a bland way to kill 90 minutes.
