Kung Fu Killer

Great fights not so good a film.

Feels like an updated version of an old school kung fu flick and you can clearly see that was the goal of the crew. It might not have the overblown crazy action of more modern films ( until the last fight in traffic) but it has tons and tons of energy. Fans of yen may be disappointed as he doesn't feature in much of the action ( and it concerns me that he may be pulling a jet li by gradually doing less actual fighting himself in his starring roles but well see).

Lots of good fights and the final climactic fight is a classic. However the story and pacing leave much to be desired. Donnie is great, Baoqiang Wang could've been a bit better. But the biggest disappointment for me was the fact that Donnie Yen didn't have enough fight scenes. It was nice to see all the cameos and nods to other martial artists and films.

Pretty good action, but Donnie Yen is slowing down a bit. The plot is not much but an excuse to string a bunch of fights together, and I don't appreciate "x-ray cam". Still, worth a watch if you like guys beating each other up. Also, kind of a tribute to old-time kung fu stars, with some cameos.

Fights are well choreographed but too short.. And climax attempt was a failure. Modern version of old school dojo style kung fu movies.

Oh boy. This is terrible. It has very high production values, but other than that it's extremely stupid and boring.

I would have preferred longer fight scenes since they were all hyped as being the masters fighting for their lives, even against a competent enemy, it would be nice to have more still. The truck/road fight was a bit confusing at times, so for a final fight it took points off it.

This movie has a few great fight scenes. The story is also fairly well crafted and intricate. It was unfortunate that I got English subtitles that were total garbage, but I was able to follow the story just barely. Donnie Yen never disappoints. Recommended to any fan of Kung Fu movies. This is more widely available under the name "Kung Fu Jungle".

Quite good modern martial arts flick with a lot of kudos to the past.

not so good

This is a good action movie. Donnie Yen is very good in the lead role. There are plenty of exciting action scenes. Overall I would recommend this film.

Superb action and choreography, although I watched it without english subs, so could only understand about 40% of the dialogue. The plot seems "good enough" from what I could tell, and it's not the reason you watch movies like this anyways. I wish the fights were a bit more drawn out
