If you're ever in need a anti-church silent film drench in filth, look no further than Krest i mauzer [Cross and Mauser] (1925). All about men of the cloth loving abusing young orphan women and killing their bastard children and leaving the dead bodies in Jewish quarters to frame them for evil rituals, casing a massive outrage of antisemitism! It's a story.... that's for sure! And for the most part it's super effective. Definitely one of the more interesting Soviet silents of the era.
