Kiss of Death

You must watch all Nick Cage flicks.

David Caruso was terrible, but Stanley Tucci and Samuel L. Jackson were great. I had fun making fun of some of the ridiculous things Nic Cage does. As two other reviews said Nic cage punches a guy to death and bench presses a stripper. If that sounds like something you'd like (it was awesome for me) this is worth the watch.

I enjoyed this more than most people seemed to. Stylish and atmospheric enough, with decent performances.

A great star ensemble, gritty ambience and an uninhibited take on the source material still nevertheless don't quite make it to the finish line, where one finds the lackluster pay-off unsurprising for a '90s thriller. But it's fast-paced and has all the tropes of the gritty New York crime flicks we love.

Passes the time.

I'd give it points based on the cast alone. I do give it points based solely on the fact that Nic Cage bench presses a stripper. That is awesome.

Cage is actually halfway decent in this but Caruso is still Caruso and Helen Hunt is sitll Helen Hunt.

Better than Dominic Brasco not as good as Face Off (Of course). My favorite informant film. Not the best mafia film of course.

Quite surprisingly good. The plot has elements, of course, that crime movie fans will be well familiar with. But Schroeder squeezes good performances out of everyone, and the editing and cinematography are excellent. I'm giving it a big point deduction because it seems to run out of juice near the end--I don't know if they had a running time issue or what, but the last parts seem very rushed.

Boring film with one good performance.
