A Cagney gangster film through and through. The supporting cast is good, but it's hard to really say how good when they're all completely overshadowed by Cagney. His performance isn't amazing or anything, I've seen better from him, but it is still pretty great and has that raw Cagney energy that makes you want to see what crazy thing he'll do next. I guess what I'm saying is it's fun to watch Cagney be a crazy gangster trying to conquer the world and walk himself to his own demise.

This tough noir moves in fits and starts, but is propelled by a gleeful performance by Cagney. He's a ruthless son of a bitch who drags everyone down to his level. Some good cinematography, crisp dialogue and fine supporting performances, especially Barbara Payton. Payton has a tragic biography, rife with abusive relationships, alcoholism, and prostitution, and ending with heart failure at age 39. She was quite a dish in her heyday, though. Not the most memorable, but quite solid and enjoyable.

This movie works because of another outstanding performance by James Cagney. Most of the supporting cast also does a good job in this film. The plot has some slow moments and some really interesting ones. Overall I would recommend this crime drama.

Cagney's character was as cocky and foolish as they come, and I couldn't wait for him to get it. He figured he could run amock by bribing any males and seducing any females, though why they fell for him, I don't know. Pretty decent movie, though.

A good crime noir. Very charismatic performance by Cagney. He enhances every scene he's in and at the same time you really root for him. Fav scene: planning to carjack

James Cagney is always great as a gangster, and he was ruthless as ever in Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye (1950). How he got all those young dames so easy was a bit comical, but worse, they tried too much with this script. Too many angles and the last heist just wasn't fitting the attitude of the rest of the happenings in the movie. There was still a lot of screwy people to make it entertaining, and it is a good Cagney picture. Just not one of his absolute best.
