Kismet

Kismet (1920) specialist Otis Skinner does the earliest feature version of the famous play. He also did the first talkie version in 1930, but that one is lost, so the silent one is all we have of his unique adaptation of this intricate Arabian prince story. A fascinating view for sure. Does perhaps not come across in full spectre as a silent, but it's better then the majority of the exotic pictures Hollywood busted out in those days. And it's all down to Skinner's multi-layered performance.
