Considering the simplicity of the production and that this was the only lead role for Larry Thompson, a guy that barely got any credited parts at all during his career, King of the Forest Rangers (1946) is surprisingly fun Republic serial in its straight-forward approach. Nothing deep, nothing fancy. Pure B-movie action with some cool danger zones.
