Pretty damn badass. Normally, when a character's kung-fu in a martial arts movie is destroyed (I just friggin' love that concept) it means the end of their direct involvement in the plot. Here, the protagonist recovers from this and gets even stronger because of it. Holy moly! Cool fights, cool music, the most dickish antagonists I have seen in a while and a satisfying conclusion.

Wow, this movie is action-packed for all of its 105 minutes. There is a lot to like, from its cool plot to the single-mindedly evil really-bad-guys (some wearing the worst wigs I've ever seen), to an early appearance of Bolo 'Pecs' Yeung. Plus, learn how to effectively recover from broken hands by beating on stuff! Recommended. And if you enjoy classic kung fu choreography more than I do you will probably rate this higher.

"Five Fingers of Death" just flat out owns. Deserves its cult following as a Kung-Fu classic. I really love the Ironside theme that was so well utilized in this and more recently "Kill Bill".

The fighting is brutal and the pacing is relentless - so much so that the tournament itself is pretty anticlimactic. I wish the villains were more interesting (except for hard-head, he's great), besides being ludicrously mean. But otherwise a solid kung fu film that is consistently entertaining.

Damn son. I wish all movies had this good of pacing, buildup and a plethora of characters that you don't think the movie's going to know how to utilize and solve the problems of, but manage to for each one. This is like a secret weapon. One of the standout klassix of Kang Fao.

Kung Fu Classic! Lieh Lo and Mien Fang were both great and the fight scenes were all fantastic aside from the anticlimactic final tournament.

This landmark martial arts film is abysmally written, directed, acted and edited, but still has a lot going for it. Shaw Brothers went a long way after this in improving the way fights are choreographed, staged and shot, but you've got to love the way King Boxer pitches a multitude of colorful characters against each other in constant little bouts of brutality (Japanese villains FTW). You've also got SB's great sets and costumes, and a beautiful song number about half way in.

I watched this film a few weeks ago, and only remember that it was really cool, and had better plot than most of kung-fu films. Oh, and it has that music from Kill Bill.

Lo Lieh kicks ass in a rare heroic role in this early kung fu tournament flick. A minor classic, it was the first Hong Kong martial arts film to play in American movie houses.

My 2nd watch and the it still holds up as one of the best "old school" kung fu films. It's very bloody and has the usual genre tropes like training montages, the honor of the martial arts school, vengeance and even a tournament. Perhaps even too many elements & characters which also adds extra length, but it still keeps you entertained for 105mins. Lo Lieh is good and I'm surprised that he seems to have mainly played bad guys going forward. Quincy Jones' Ironside theme is used to great effect.

Fun film with good fights and a decent if unoriginal story.

Fairly recently finally managed to watch this martial arts movie classic. The story is fairly simple, tournament style. The characters are entertaining and well done, especially the leads. Interesting to see how influential this was to modern films.

Released in North America in an English dub titled "Five Fingers of Death", this is the film that kicked off the martial arts film craze in the US ... and it's easy to see why. This film is packed to the gills with everything that makes a martial arts film great. The last half hour is a carnival of madness with gory eye pluckings, gaudy light effects and groovy sound effects. Keep an eye out for a smaller, but still impressive Bolo Yeung as the Mongolian.

BlurayRip RARBG.

One might be tempted to call this unoriginal, but that would be a sign of sheer ignorance as this movie’s DNA is basically in all the Martial Arts movies that came after. The villains are hilariously dickish, the fights are the gold standard of Old School Kung Fu and there’s nary a boring moment here. Greater things would come (Lau Ka-Leung for more intricate plots and more refined choreography, Chang Cheh for blood soaked idiocy) but it basically starts here.

Came for Bolo Yeung, but his part was tiny. Enjoyed discovering Lieh Lo. As good as some Bruce Lee films.
