Killing Bono

I thought Killing Bono would be a dark comedy fantasy, where the brothers would actually try to kill Bono, thereby satisfying my disdain for U2. Unfortunately the film is all drama, teetering on biographical, with tepid music thrown in. The film is essentially the 1st act of my imaginary version, but stretched out to what feels like an almost unbearable length, checking off every tired beat of the genre along the way. Barnes and the rest of the acting is good, but not enough to justify the film.

trailer made it seem more comedic, which would have worked really well. instead it's too long and too depressing and really too pointless.

Disappointing. Too sad to be a comedy, really. A slightly similar theme to, but compares really badly with, "Almost Famous."

The movie could have definitely been better than what it is. The movie has some really good acting. Starts of on a high and then closer to half its all down hill. At par entertainer at best.
