I rented Kill the Love from a little Chinese video store in Oklahoma City way back in 1998. It was the first Korean film I'd ever seen. Although it kind of fit in with Hong Kong's Milkyway Image crime films I was obsessed with at the time, Kill the Love was definitely its own thing - darker and sexier with its own pace and style. I wouldn't see another Korean film till Oldboy some 7-8 years later. No Idea if it has aged well, but I loved it 20+ years ago.
