Kill and Pray

A down and dirty, barely recognizable spaghetti version of Hamlet (Sexy Evil Hamlet?), but that's the only thing subtle about it. Plays best after midnight with a handle of J&B resting on a copy of the Good Word.

Not a top tier spaghetti but still an above average entry in the genre. It's quite serious in tone, grim and more political than usual. Castel's Requiescant is an interesting character and a definite departure from the average Clint/Nero clones. Damon does a menacing - almost vampireish - aristocrat and it's fun to see director Pasolini as the priest in arms. Standout scene was the suspenseful hangman duel in the saloon.

The premise of this kid who's never picked up a gun becoming an expert gunman through dumb luck is not well done, and the acting is your usual Spaghetti Western mixed bag of big personality but mediocre skill papered over with inconsistent dubbing. If you accept the trappings this is an above average example of the genre with several great moments and a number of fun ones.

I lost interest fairly early on. Good acting by bad guy. Fav scene: duel while both men are on nooses shooting at each other to hang their opponent.
