A UK depression-era piece. Meaning that the plot is a waste of time and it's the musical numbers that count. And that sure was true here. A cast with mostly show people as opposed to actors with a silly dame-problems storyline which didn't get me hooked. The songs and instrumentals however was good. Just not good enough to save this from becoming anything more then a very forgettable time waster. Only significance is that this featured Maureen O'Hara screen debut. Don't blink or you'll miss it.
