Essentially a sequel/retread of Malibu's Most Wanted, again Kennedy is *just likable enough* to make his annoying Will Ferrell-wannabe manchild antics not annoying as hell. Unfortunately it follows the typical sports-movie formula to a T, and while the breakdancing is awesome, the movie is just blergh. If you must watch a Jamie Kennedy movie, make it Malibu's Most Wanted.

It's okay for the '80s references and break dancing, but the characters aren't that likeable, I'm not sure why Menounos would be romantically interested in Kennedy, and the constant gay-bashing and pee/fart jokes are jarring in 2022. Fav scene: wish we got to see more of the parents' fun back-and-forth relationship.

I fail to see how this movie was allowed to be made, in fact, I fail to see why anyone in their right mind would even consider watching it...including me.

I am being generous by giving this movie even this high of a rating. The script is really bad. The characters in a cartoon have more depth. There are some enjoyable 80's references.

"Like Norbit, Kickin' It Old Skool is a film unable to provide its charmingly stupid characters with the movie they truly deserve." - Rob Humanick
