Két félidö a pokolban

It might not seem right to lump this in with the innumerable "rag-tag sports team with something to prove" movies, but it's hard not to make the connection. Fortunately, it's done realistically and tastefully enough that the premise doesn't feel forced -- in fact, the game scenes are impressively well-done. The whole thing ends how it must, and I really can't muster up much concern for the details of the outcome, given the larger context. Maybe that's Fabri's intention; I don't know.

09.18 Çiftlik

The premise is almost too obvious, the execution is slightly naive, and yet Fabri is so sure-handed and ends up with such a powerful film. Everyone should watch it.
