Katte ni furuetero

[More 'not that bad' rather then 'not that hot'] - A sorta rom-com (with all the problematic 'I know where this will end up' vibes) about a young woman with a no man problem. a heck of a lot goes on inside her head, so much so that the big reveal two thirds of the way through was (to me) a big surprise and has you questioning "what was real"? (nice song here too) Different with the heroine being well played by Mayu Matsuoka in what is essentually a one person film.

Surreptiously set up to be a comical tale of a quirky girl only to reveal a breadth of contemplation about life to the keen eye. Weird Japanese comedies never disappoint.

Typical romcom fare, nothing to really write home about. Saw someone compare it to Cassavetes which is a bit of a stretch but I can kinda see it in a couple scenes.
