When Chandri (Urvashi), Sivan's (Mammootty) sister, gets pregnant outside of marriage & seeing Sivan's anger at this, Chandri names Sivan's best friend, Chellan (Gopi), as the father & hearing this Sivan kills Chellan. Resolute on revenge, Chellan's brother Bhadran (Mohanlal) sells Chandri off to a brothel & awaits Sivan's return from the jail. But after Sivan's return, when Bhadran is stabbed by a couple of his enemies, Sivan comes to Bhadran's rescue, in spite of Bhadran's enemity towards him. (Summary by iceblox)
