D.I.G. Mohan Shankar (Suresh Gopi), forced to deliver the ransom money for a hostage, Hema (Sarayu), the daughter of businessman Satharam (Shanawas), was in for a rude shock when he loses the money, is beaten up & the hostage killed. Retreating from the limelight, Mohan goes to the coastal town of Kanyakumari to continue his stalled research.
