Vidyalakshmi (Mamtha Mohandas), a Hindu, marries a Muslim, Shanavas Ahmed (Asif Ali), against the wishes of both families & start a family. However, when Shanavas is killed in a mishap, Vidyalakshmi has to struggle to make ends meet & finally ends up on the streets. Preman (Jayaram), an auto rickshaw driver comes to Vidyalakshmi's aid & take her & her daughter to his colony.
