Kaanchi

Madhavan (Indrajith), a simpleton shopkeeper leading a mundane life, is torn between two rival powers as he becomes the sole witness to a grisly murder. Peringodan (V.G. Muralikrishnan), the murderer, tries to stop Madhavan from testifying, whilst Thomas (Joy Mathew), the father of the person who was killed, tries to force Madhavan to testify against his wishes. Madhavan's whole life, including his arranged marriage to Gauri (Archana Gupta), is jeopardized as a result of this tug of war. (Summary by iceblox)
