Juve contre Fantômas

(Rating and review apply to entire series.) A predictable but still enjoyable excursion into the distant past of cinema. While not all sensibilities of the era have lasted, there is a certain suspense and uneasiness that is impressive even today.

Rating for all parts of series. This isn't quite as good as Les Vampires, but if you like one you'll probably like the other. A similar feel and a lot of similar ideas (mastermind criminal organizations, outrageous crimes, silly fun plots, some goofy fun set-pieces, etc.) The restoration I saw of this, from 2013, was astounding--it looked like true HD. Watch Les Vampires first and if you like that, give this a whirl.

Fast paced, fun, inventive, and goofy. This was a much more action paced film than the first.

It has a bit more action than the first but the plot development doesn't feel as smooth or organic, still pretty enjoyable though.
