Justice League: Warworld

Wow, the animation of this movie was absolute trash, like the mid-2000s flash animation. Al said this movie was just bad, maybe the worst DC animated movie I've seen.

I had hoped for a cinematic storyline in "Justice League: Warworld," instead, it was an action-packed cartoon that left me confused and lacked proper plot development.

I liked the wild west portion, which was most of it. The rest not so much. That's the thing with these Superhero animation films. They are a mixed bag. Got good ideas, but somewhere along the line they drift off and somehow go into dull mode. And it's nearly always toward what's supposed to be the climax, which leave a flat ending, even if a lot of it was enjoyable.

These last few Tomorrowverse movies have been fine. I actually do enjoy the animation style, even if others don't. The most inspired bit is the first half where you have Western WW, Fantasy Batman and Film Noir Superman. Cool stuff. Everything else is fine. But man, this material deserves better than fine.

Warworld is a dreary affair that feels much longer than its 90 minute runtime. The film cycles through a western featuring Wonder Woman, a discount DnD with Batman, and a B&W noire with Clark Kent, all tied together a groan-inducing ex-machina. The voice acting feels flat, and the animation hasn't evolved over the last decade. A few cool ideas, but middling to poor execution leave this Justice League entry a painful reminder how dull superheroes can be.
