Only good hook for this movie is the relationship between Kara and the Monitor but they manage to blunder that with nauseatingly stupid twists and just like... not even caring about that dynamic beyond it being a plot beat. Outside of that are weird references to shit that has no real grounding in this setting and this really lame scheme being played out with by Psycho-Pirate whose main appeal is totally lost in this flick. And man, the small scale conflicts just made me cringe...

Wow, this dragged on and on and on, very tedious.

Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Two is on par with Part One, feeling a little less sluggish but still lacks narrative focus. They're are plenty of characters but no real protagonist nor character arcs. The closest we come in this film is with Kara and Psycho-Pirate, which provide some interesting moments before jumping back to one of the numerous groups fighting the same battle for the entire film. Not sure if teasing Ryan's Constantine is fun or just lazy at this point.

Seriously, who the hell is this for? While I welcome a Crisis "adaptation" that does things differently, this sucks compared to the comic. As a long-time fan I know alot of all the characters they throw on the screen, but nothing is done with them. The film turns "easter eggs" into characters. Supergirl gets the only (stretched out) storyline & LOTS of time is spent making Psycho Pirate menacing... why? The rest is tiresome battles between the plethora of "easter eggs" & shadow creatures.

I liked part one better. Everything was served nicely with that one, but they still felt they had to go slow motion for part two to drag it all out. Which tells me it was maybe more suited for a one-episode film all along? Still, it's far from the worst of these DC efforts. They hold the darker tone and deliver a serious story within the Universe.
