Journal 64

Ridiculous, cheesy and self-serious; all the ingredients for a terrible movie. Just imagine your average Danish detective thriller, subtract anything interesting you might've accidentally added, and you have Journal 64. Perhaps the worst part is that this piece of mindless entertainment was based on a true story that affected thousands of people, elevating it from harmless pulp to painful exploitation. Just ignore this one.

Great danish film, my dad said this was the worst of the 4, but if this is the worst the rest must be even better

Solid, but too often too lazy.

After three weak entries in the franchise, this fourth one blew me away. Tense, with a great mystery and some great performances.

The young Bornedal does a great job, and Kaas does what he does. Have heard that the movies don't live up to the books. I Wouldn't know... But I'm entertained. *Good

While the rest of the Afdeling Q films are mediocre at best, it seems like they've emotionally and tonally been building up to this one. Sure there are some minor plot details, that could've been given more attention, and the action sequences are lazy executed, but overall this is a more than satisfying conclusion to Lie Kaas' interpretation of Carl Mørck - especially since it's the first film in the franchise that actually left me wanting more. Well done.
