Jokeren

A stylish Danish-German production with actors from all over the continent. Most prominently the British actor Miles Mander, who'd later be a very recognizable character actor in Hollywood during the 30s and 40s, as a true sleazebag and rival of the gambling Joker. For a while there the elegance of the production was almost in the way of making the story interesting, but it got there toward the end with the confrontation and all that Jazz. For the most part a great film, especially visually.
