John Tucker Must Die

John Tucker Must Die is a great combination of elements for a chick flick. Smokin' hot guy cheating jerk girls who want revenge= the perfect cquation for a movie in which most girls can relate. The plot never gets boring while the girls send John through escapades, like adversising that he has herpes or strapping him into a thong. The only complaint I have with this movie is John and Kate's relationship in the end. Nevertheless, this movie is great for a girls night in movie marathon.

The movie is dull and predictable. Even worse, John Tucker doesn't die.

"I wish it could just be simple, like a retro pop song, "I want you to want me." Boom. End of story. We all live happily ever after. But it is never really like that, is it?" this movie is pretty deep and insightful.

There are a few tongue-in-cheek moments that indicates something smarter and better, but sadly those get buried amongst a lot of lame and silly shit. *Preview*: #12#, exp-2*, popcorn, story, actresses, R2.

This is how good a movie is that relies solely on pretty faces. I never laughed, I was never interested, and I hate myself for watching it.

Cheesy teen comedy with a few intermittently amusing moments but a bit held back by its PG13 rating. Reminds me a little of Mean Girls with the new girl in school getting caught up in a web of lies and secret identity, but certainly nowhere near as good.

A film that clearly wants to be more than its poster (and broad plot outline) would suggest, but Thomas can’t quite arrange the building blocks in the right order that would make a more satisfying whole, instead letting her anarchic spirit seep through with some sharp line readings here and there, and sparky performances from her cast who do their best to pick up the sags. It’s no MEAN GIRLS, but its stab at something a little more elevated at least makes it a cut above the average.

The premise is honestly pretty fun & the cast is definitely trying- Snow is great as the lead, & Bush, Kebbel & Ashanti play their (quite one-note) parts well. Metcalfe is solid as the titular jock jerk. Unfortunately, though, despite a woman in the director's chair, this is one of the less-memorable 2000's teen comedies for a variety of reasons. It's got dull characters, dull romance, a plot where ultimately not a whole lot happens, & extremely dated humor to top it all off. Overall, meh.

The most predictable movie of all time.

It's pretty depressing to think that this is what teenage girls connect and relate to. Some people wonder why teen pregnancy is a thing.

Quite ridiculous and immature, but I thought it was hilarious at times. The thing that really annoyed me about this movie was the stereotypes. The only girl with a brain and a multi-dimensional personality was Brittany Snow's character. The other girls were airheads and/or very shallow. And of course, there's the "player". I dislike movies that rely on stereotypes, but at least the girls got back at the guy in this one.

do you enjoy quality movies? do you prefer films that have a good plot and intelligent dialogue? want to see something new and original? STAY AWAY! if i could yell louder, i would. let john tucker die alone if he hasn't already.

I just can't understand why girls love this so much.. Worthless, just worthless. People who make this kind of films must die!

It's not very good, but who am I to deny the fact that it is a little bit entertaining. It's great for a 13 year old girl's slumber party.

Would probably be okay if you're a teenage girl who doesn't mind watching ridiculous movies.

John Tucker Must Die may not be the worst teen movie out there, but it does treat the audience as if we're nitwits that will buy any premise, laugh at any attempt at a gag, and get goose bumps at any kiss, just as long as the outfits are colorful, the music catchy, and the leads dreamy enough to overlook every weakness.

It's a mediocre teen movie that seems try to cash off on a "Mean Girls"-like plot - and fails.

This movie is too stupid for words. So I won't try.
