One of the forgotten movie franchises in classic cinema was the one based on Ham Fisher's comic strip Joe Palooka. Sadly this first movie episode felt like a unfocused pilot. Very few laughs and the story wasn't exactly a original one. At least it extended Leon Errol feature career a few more years after that Mexican Spitfire series had ended.
