Jenifa

Jennifer is a European girl who speaks Japanese a little. She arrives at temple in Japanese countryside to the funeral of prev head monk who she had link to, stays, and meets a boy there. The boy was a juvenile delinquent (and worse) who works out his parole in temple & grounds. Jennifer likes this silent boy and wants to help him overcome the not uncommon Japanese theme of him being socially isolated as he's different. Also helps daughter of temple's head reconcile her parents. (imdb)
