Itsuwareru seiso

Kôzaburô Yoshimura brings a very clean creation, showing post-war Japan and changing society focusing on two sisters choosing different paths. The slow build wasn't working that well for me, causing several portions where I felt I was losing faith with the story. It does get there. Especially that chase scene through the streets captures the intensity I felt the rest of the movie was lacking. You know classic Japanese films have a tendency to keep things simple and subtle.
