This entire trilogy is a masterpiece. This is about more of the same: a mixture of comedy, great insight, oddness and emotion. It uses its imagery so well, blending real footage with the simple (yet effective) animations.

Thought provoking and interesting. It really makes you appreciate life and everything it has to offer, even the little things.

A strong conclusion to the trilogy that stands well on its own. It manages to increase both the humour and poignancy without either one compromising the other. It also has a lot of great individual moments.

Didn't really care for this series, somehow it didn't resonate with me.

A wonderful, at times poignant conclusion to one of the best animated films ever made, packed with unexpected bursts of hope, humor and sadness that beautifully encapsulate the repressed core of Bill's shattered psyche. If you're as lucky as I was, try to watch this on the big screen.

All the shorts in this series are good, but individually they don't have the same impact as together (which I consider a masterpiece).

I can't deny the power this final short in the series has, but this sure does take a while to find its logical conclusion and ultimately just tries too hard. Still, it's a brilliant piece of work (as are the other ones), which I'm sure to revisit at different times of my life.

Want to give this one another viewing since I was distracted throughout much of it

Has its moments, certainly, but there is something about the way the pathos is conjured here that to this viewer seems a little confected.

The third, and best, of the shorts that comprise Hertzfeldt's trilogy. His experimental effects work and meshing of animation with live-action footage reach new heights here.

One of the best films ever made and one of the best there ever will be.
