It had its moments but it tried too hard and the production values were bad even for a DOGME film. The ending was pretty bad as well.

The first 15 minutes or so are really hard to keep your attention, but if you manage that, it is quite a rewarding movie.

Delightful romance that capitalizes on the popular image of Italy while retaining the important element that the characters actually be believable human beings. Scherfig's nice touch with the scenes can be felt especially through the use of effective and understated humor. Ultimately, this is a film about people battling their loneliness by searching for connection with another person--a profound theme in the modern world.

Wasn't expecting to be anywhere near as charmed by it as I was. A very sweet piece, and the Dogme really helps, being effective but not distracting.

Nothing happens. Apart from that it's OK.

A very charming comedy that definitely brought a smile to my face a few times. The character are equally as well-written as they are well-acted but the movie suffers from being perhaps a bit too understated for its own good. Being a Dogme film though, really made you connect and feel with the people in the film; especially in the more emotional scenes. Overall, you have a finely attuned, and neatly tied together, rom-com that doesn't bow to clichés but suffers from being too tame, story-wise.
