Iron Sky: The Coming Race

Top badass moment? Hitler riding a dinosaur, obviously. It’s not nearly as good as its predecessor as the plot’s a bit crap, but it does has its good moments. It feels like it's been tweaked a bit to try and make it more accessible to ‘normal people’ than the original, but as it’s stuffed full of Nokia-based humour that’s probably only really funny in Finland, this is at best just a partial success. The first five minutes are fun though. No cats, chainsaws or decapitations.

Come on it starts with the script This movie could have been the best blockbuster since Jurassic Park if it was handled by someone who is actually interested in the wild conspiracy theories. What you get is just a borefest, with unfunny "humour". The best part was spoiled by the trailer and Hitler barely has any screen time

A very dumb mess in only minimally endearing fashion.

Completely fails to be a proper sequel, but as a funny, light and simple B-film with some unique properties, it still manages to entertain. Perhaps it should have taken itself (even) less seriously, but it's still fun to watch.

Unnecessary sequel: such a shame all of the magnificently baffling subtext and goofball comedy of the first film is completely undermined by this bland adventure yarn.

There's little to like about this film which boasts an incoherent plot, really bad CGI, and wooden acting. The over the top premise is enough to maintain my interest, but what's done with these aspects are trite and outright cringe worthy at times. As a film that tries to relish in its outlandishness, it does so in the most tepid way imaginable that is neither funny nor exciting.

Iron Sky is objectively dumb, but you don’t go into this kind of movie without knowing this. The dialogue is atrocious but pairs well with the ludicrous plot. The Apple ecosphere commentary is obvious to the point of parodying the parody. Surprisingly, it’s all rather entertaining. Malcolm, played by Dale, bucks tropes and was actually quite an endearing character. Sometimes you need a film to turn your brain off to, and this really works.

good movie

A constant push-pull between a promising story/abysmal writing, mostly likeable characters/wooden acting, an original production design/horrible direction and timing. Many good ideas, poorly executed.
